Jakras Vivid Anja CDX RA

March 21, 2003- December 2, 2008.

What could have been and never was never meant to be...

Anja means "Grace of God" in Russian. She was born March 21, 2003. She came to us from Jakras Kennel in South Dakota. Anja was one of those rare dogs born for the obedience ring.

She looked forward to obedience school every week. In over thirty competitive events she never failed the long sits and downs. The high jump was her favorite. Even though she was required to jump 20 inches, she easily cleared that and eight inches more.

Vizsla Club of America ratings: 2008 #5, 2007 #3 Novice and 2006 #5. Front and Finish magazine: 2007 #3. Delaney Obedience Ratings 2008 #2. First and Foremost Obedience ratings 2008 #5. Several High in Trials.

The same week she started Utility training she was diagnosed with lymphosarcoma. She also suffered from Atopic Dermatitis her entire life. Watching her slowly die over a six week period was excruciating for her family and friends. Her vet said it was the most aggressive case he had ever seen.

Anja succumbed to lymphosarcoma December 2, 2008.

CH Winsongs Singapore Fling CD

Raffles (named after the Raffles Hotel in Singapore) came to us from Evelyn Hilbert - Voros Vadasa Kennel and Winsong Kennel. Raffles was a born show girl. Outside the ring she was all fun and games but in the ring her attitude changed to showing off her natural grace and beauty. She earned her championship at the age of 14 months.

Obedience was a different matter. Raffles earned her CD easily but Open was just too much fun. She loved taking the dumbbell, jumping the ring gates and showing the onlookers what she had. Sits and downs she never mastered. When the judge wasn't looking she would creep on her belly across the ring. Raffles was always looking to have a good time.

Raffled died from Canine Cognitive Disorder on September 15, 2008. She was 14 years 316 days young.

Winsongs Amber CDX

Our first Vizsla

Amber came to us from Winsongs Kennel (bev and Richard Goldberg) in Las Vegas. She was a thinking Vizsla who analyzed the situation before taking action. In obedience competition she excelled in pleasing the crowd. We only needed to show her how to do something twice, after that she would always do it that way. Obedience competition was her place to shine. She had two legs toward her UD.

Amber died from hermangiosarcoma.
